The night I made this photograph in a rental flat BBC News announced that Archbishop Desmond Tutu had died. I met the ‘Arch’ at his Cape Town residence many years ago. My recollection of his laughter, so full of life, filled me with longing to return home. Except home is an imagined place that houses life-long memories revisited incessantly.
